DIY Facial Toner

DIY Toner: Inexpensive, non-toxic

I started making my own facial toner when I was pregnant last year. My skin would change from glowing and radiant, to dry and dull, on a daily basis.  I was spending enough money on … everything else, that it seemed silly to shell out so much cash for something to mist on myself.

This DIY toner contains only 4 ingredients that you likely have already at home. Everything is inexpensive but the tea tree oil, but a little goes a long way and you’ll have that tiny jar to make this again and again. This is a typical LIVEFREE recipe – add as little or as much as you need to make it personalized. Using a consistent facial routine is great to help keep your skin balanced and looking its best.

Ingredients

Directions

Sensitive or Dry Skin: Tea Tree Oil is STRONG. You only need a few drops. If you have sensitive or dry skin, skip it. Fill your spray bottle with 50% water, and the rest with an equal mixture of Witch Hazel and Apple Cider Vinegar. Spray one you face daily, or as needed.

Normal Skin:  Fill mini—spray bottle with equal parts water, witch hazel and apple cider vinegar. Spray once or twice a day/

In the winter, I typically use about 50% water and a little less tea tree oil. I spray once a day or every other day.

I’d love to have my own pretty labels. Readers, any suggestions on free printables? If you have an Etsy site selling labels you’d like to promote, let me know. I’d be happy to use yours and promote your site 🙂

    • My husband says he can smell the Tea Tree Oil immediately after I spray it. The smell disappears when dry. Lavender is a great substitution and has a WONDERFUL smell – especially at night as it has a calming effect 🙂
